It’s Gonna be May…

The news that matters brought to you by Izzie

Hi my favorite people,

April… what a month. Like… blink-and-it’s-over but also somehow we did a million magical things together and I’m still riding the high of it.

Truly — this farm doesn’t exist without you showing up, laughing with us, getting a little muddy, and saying yes to something different. And April? You said YES. A lot.

Lochan Zanda Highlands

April, You Were a Dream

We kicked things off with a field trip that honestly felt like the beginning of something big — kids learning, exploring, asking questions, petting coos… the kind of day that reminds you this is why we’re doing this.

Our Hipcampers came through and got a taste of the slow, cozy farm life — quiet mornings, starry nights, and just enough cow chaos to keep things interesting.

Then came the Easter Egg Hunt… and WOW. So many families, so many giggles, and coos just casually existing like they were part of the planning committee.

We rolled up our sleeves for bread making and pasta classes (Chef André did his thing, obviously), and y’all showed UP hungry and ready.

Movie night? Cozy. Chaotic. Perfect.
Hayrides? So many we lost count.
Tours + new faces? Every single one a joy.

And one of the biggest moments…
Mayflower is officially back out with the herd.
If you’ve been following her story, you know this one hits deep. She’s strong, she’s healing, and she’s home.

We also:

  • Hosted our mom group playdates (See You at the Farm) aka the best midweek reset

  • Had Where You Bean Coffee Cart fueling Wednesdays (we are now emotionally attached to those lattes)

  • Built a literal manure spreader out of tires because… innovation

  • Used reclaimed wood to build stalls + bathroom (hot water included now, yes ma’am)

  • Installed a new fridge, popcorn machine, AND hot dog roller (we are leveling up our snack game)

  • Finished the barn’s second-floor subfloor (!!)

  • Hosted story times + sunset yoga

  • And even hopped on the So Much Jenergy podcast (because apparently we’re podcast people now??) Like I said… A lot has been happening.

    Now let's talk May

We’re keeping the momentum and adding even more ways to hang with us:

    Story Time (Once Upon a Coo) May 2nd, 16th & 30th

Yoga on the Farm Every Tuesday & Thursday @ 6:30 PM (sunset hits different out here, just saying)

Appalachian Women in Green (A-WIG) May 1 @ 6:30 PM Come learn, connect, and be part of something really cool

The Coo-linary Club (Kids Series Begins!) Starting May 5 We’re teaching your kids life skills and feeding them — you’re welcome Classes include:

    • Bread Making 101

    • Pasta Making 101

    • Grilling 101

    • Pizza Party (fan favorite already)

Mamas & Minis: Cupcakes & Coos May 16 This one is pure joy. Come ready for sweet treats + sweeter moments. This class is designed for moms & their kiddos of any age!

Adult Cooking Classes (Coming Soon) We’re talking: – Pizza & Wings (André says “best you’ll ever have” and he means it) – Tacos & Tamales – …and more coming because we don’t know how to chill

Cow of the Month: Molly

“Hi. Yes. It’s me. I’m the moment.”

Molly is our April queen turned May icon, and she has a lot going on right now because… she’s pregnant

Vibe: Soft, glowy, slightly dramatic Zodiac: Pisces (it checks out) Current Craving: Crème Brûlée Latte from Where You Bean (extra foam, obviously) Favorite Book: What to Expect When You’re Expecting (she’s highlighted it, don’t worry)

Molly’s Horoscope: “Lean into your softness this month, queen. You’re growing something beautiful — literally. Boundaries are important, naps are essential, and if someone doesn’t bring you snacks… distance yourself. Trust your intuition and don’t be afraid to moo a little louder when needed.”

We love a self-aware, hydrated, latte-loving mama.

From Me to You

This place… it’s becoming something really special. Not because of us — but because of you showing up and making it what it is.

So if you’ve been thinking about coming out — this is your sign. Bring your kids, your friends, your energy, your curiosity.

Or just come sit & watch the coos exist. That’s enough too.

See you at the farm
– Izzie
