Join us at the farm for our Cottage Store Vendor Invitational, an informal gathering for interested local makers, growers, artists, and small businesses. You’ll have a chance to tour our cottage store while it’s still in progress, see the space firsthand, meet the farmers and fellow prospective vendors, and talk through our vision for the shop together.
We’ll discuss what we’re looking for, how the vendor partnership will work, and answer questions in person—all while giving everyone a chance to connect before the Cottage Store comes to life.

Boos With The Coos
Boos & Coos: Halloween Festivities at the Farm 🎃🐮
Get ready for a delightfully spooky evening at Boos & Coos — our favorite Halloween tradition at Lochan Zanda Highlands!
Join us for a magical evening where little ghosts, goblins, and superheroes can trick-or-treat amongst the Highland coos. Wander through the pasture and barn areas in costume, collecting treats while our fluffy herd looks on with their usual calm curiosity.
This free community event is all about fall fun, farm magic, and a little bit of Halloween mischief. Families can enjoy:

🚜 Hay rides through the fields at dusk
🎯 Festive farm games for kids
🎁 Special Halloween treats and surprises
Also enjoy complimentary pumpkin to paint & to take home
Come dressed in your most creative costume and celebrate the season with us under the autumn sky. The barn will be glowing, the coos will be fluffy as ever, and the whole farm will be filled with the cozy, magical spirit of Halloween.

Small Business Saturday at the Farm
Skip the big-box crowds and spend Small Business Saturday at Lochan Zanda Highlands!
We're bringing together some of our favorite local makers, growers, artists, and small businesses for a day of shopping at the farm. Browse locally made goods, discover something new, and get a head start on your holiday shopping while supporting the people who live, work, grow, and create right here in our community.
No need for us to rush Christmas—we're keeping things cozy, local, and decidedly late-fall. Come wander the farm, meet the makers, find a few gifts (maybe one for yourself), and spend your Saturday shopping small.
Admission is free and all are welcome.

Friends-Giving
Friends of the Farm Giving 🦃🍂
Come gather around the table with us for Friends of the Farm Giving, a free community potluck at Lochan Zanda Highlands!
We’ll provide the turkey, and you bring a favorite dish to share. Whether you’ve been part of the farm family for years or you’re visiting us for the first time, you’re invited to pull up a chair, share a meal, and spend an evening in good company.
We’ll gather together in the Big Red Barn for food, fellowship, and a little post-Thanksgiving coziness. There’s no cost to attend, but we do ask that everyone RSVP so we know how many friends—and how much turkey—to plan for.
Please bring: A side dish, dessert, bread, or other favorite potluck dish to share.

Get a little crafty and a lot festive at the farm! Join us in the Big Red Barn for an afternoon of holiday card making and Christmas cheer. Create your own handmade cards to take home and send to someone you love. 💌✨

Macramé Monday
Join us for Macramé Monday! 🌿🧶 Learn how to make your own macramé plant hanger—and once you learn the basics, the possibilities are endless!
We’ll also show you how everyday bottles and containers can be reused and turned into adorable little planters.
Each participant will choose a plant cutting to take home and propagate in their new creation! 🌱
Drop in anytime between 2–4 PM and craft with us in the barn. All ages welcome!

Moos & Coos Grand Opening Weekend

We may be opening our doors this Friday, but NEXT weekend we're making it official with a full Moos & Coos Grand Opening Weekend!
We’ll be celebrating all three days with Happy Hour specials from 3–8 PM, plus plenty of coffee, ice cream, farm fun and Highland cow views.
Bring the kids. Bring your friends. Bring your mama. Bring that person who says they don't need ice cream and then eats half of yours.
We want this barn FULL.
